There will be at least one PBL each trimester. PBL is an interactive, group learning opportunity that calls for students to collectively use their understanding of History, ELA and often Geography and Current Event concepts to solve a problem or create a product. Group work involves learning how to work together, contribute equally and solve problems that emerge during the completion of the project. This is an essential part of PBL and is part of their grade. Time management and following directions are assessed, as well. Research, writing and presenting are often required components. Student choice is an important part of PBL.
